Flying Tiger Company was approved to the ASA-100 standard on
November 15 2004.
The ASA-100 is an Aerospace Quality Management System and was
developed for the Aviation stockiest and distributors. The standard
addresses the requirements that distributors must focus on to ensure
that only approved, conforming parts make their way into the supply
chain. In recent years the concern of "black market" or "bogus"
parts has reached heightened levels and the ASA-100 includes
requirements that effectively implemented, shall assist Flying Tiger
Company to minimize the risk of such activity.
Based on FAA Circular 00-56A but with approximately 100 additional
Aviation specific requirements, the ASA-100 Quality Management
System sets the standards for a comprehensive quality system focused
on all areas of product safety and reliability. These quality
requirements are crucial to the Aerospace industry, which maintain a
high level of liability. The ASA-100 suppliers, who also comply with
FAA Advisory Circular 00-56A, must demonstrate superior
performance to succeed in today's competitive and cyclical aerospace
market.
Flying Tiger Company is the first ever ASA-100 approved company that
has gone directly to the ASA-100 standard, without first having the
ISO 9001:2000. With the ASA-100 approval, we are therefore
automatically ISO9001:2000 approved as well.
The company is very proud to hold the ASA-100 approval and
consequently the recognition as a world class service provider to
the Aviation industry.
